Paul Mallon’s Soulforce shows are “Two gloriously nostalgic hours of original Soul, fantastic Funk and Disco, with Paul interrupting now and again with all the fun stuff about the music, artists and scene that he thinks he remembers.” and now it’s available everywhere, broadcast on RadioBath, on Line and on your smart speaker. At one time Paul Mallon’s Soulforce Show was networked across 10 stations from London to Dublin. However we are now exclusive to Radio Bath
The Soulforce show started out on Soultrain Radio many years ago as a Monday night 2 hour celebration of all things Funky.
It was a time of all-dayers, weekenders and soul gatherings that brought music fans from all over the country, particularly to see the Funk Mafia of Chris Hill, Froggy, Robbie Vincent, and many of the other well known club DJs of the time, at places like Purley, Caister, Canvey Island Goldmine and wherever Jazzfunk was played up and down the country.
Paul Mallon was a DJ working in clubs and pubs throughout the UK as well as abroad with a love of soul and funk music. Through his career he’s DJ’d in some of the countries top rated clubs as well as presenting shows on various radio stations including Soultrain Radio DAB where he presented not only his specialist Soulforce Show, but also the uplifting Saturday Morning Disco Show and the Breakfast Show. Move forward a couple of years and the culmination of which is now presented across various stations including Radio Bath, Somervalley fm, Frome fm, Imperial Voice Radio, Wave WsM & Base Radio who broadcast Paul Mallon’s Soulforce Show every Saturday night.
The shows encourage you to push the kitchen table aside and have a boogie. Being a glorious celebration of Soul, Funk and Disco music you will know, remember and love, as well as introducing some you might have missed ………..
Our latest fun feature “Who’s Bongos?”
The Soulforce show’s latest fun feature is the brand new “Who’s Bongos?” competition.
Try to work out which disco record the Bongo Break is from. You get to hear a few seconds of the bongo break and then have to try to guess Who’s Bongos they are. The answer comes towards the end of the show when the full track gets played.
